Entry 5

Dearest Diary,

Oh there is nothing I can do but, father has threatened to kick me out if I do not marry Paris but I cant be unfaithful to my Romeo I am already spoken for. So I went to Friar Lawrence and he brewed me a potion that will make me seem like I am dead but I won’t be. Then plan is that I drink it just before I go to sleep tonight then and gently drift asleep, they will then find me and place me in the Capulets tomb where Romeo will find me, wake me up with a kiss and we will live happily ever after. Friar Lawrence will send word to Romeo that I am not actually dead and that he needs to wake me.

 I am about to drink the potion that will make me appear lifeless. Hopefully this will end the feud between our families and Romeo and I can live happily ever after. The messenger has left with the note to let Romeo know what is happening. I hope he will be here when I wake up.

*Romeo finds her passed out on the bed and thinks she is dead so he drinks a cup of poison and he dies.

I just woke up and Romeo is dead beside me. But why? HE must not have received my message and how rude he drank all the poison and left none for me. I shall kiss him and see if there is any left on his lips, they are still warm.
I am so regretful that our love was so short. I hope to see you in the after life my love. Oh no I hear someone?! “Then I’ll be brief. Oh happy dagger, I shall pierce my heart and join my Romeo where our love shall last forever in eternity." (act five scene three page one hundred and eighty-six)
